Time to live
When all the swimming, paddling, surfing, sailing or kiting is done, you will sit at the shore of a lake, let your thoughts run free and forget about all your cares. After your hikes, climbing adventures, golf tournaments, jogging or training sessions, you will simply stretch out on a mountain meadow and watch the sky. Does anyone need anything more to be happy? Perhaps not. However, it is still good to know that more things await you at the Cresta Palace Hotel. A large spa area. A stylish Grand Restaurant. A “Ristorante” with Italian delicacies. A conservatory, an Art Nouveau lounge, a bar. And the «staziun da basa», where they make sure that the next day will be as eventful as this one, that tomorrow will be as happy as today.

Closer to heaven
The high valley of the Engadin with its wonderfully varied network of trails – 580 kilometres (360 miles) in all – is heaven for hiking.
The contrasts that characterise this region are bewitching: gently sloping hills draped with lush alpine meadows stand close by mighty glaciers, towering snow-capped peaks and sparkling lakes. The best way to explore this unspoilt landscape is on foot – whether hiking along one of the breathtaking panoramic trails or one of the fascinating theme trails, on a walk along the sparkling lakes, or on a multi-day trek. The comprehensive network of trails also includes pushchair-accessible paths that are particularly suitable for families. Those preferring a more ambitious mountain hike can make for one of the four areas served by the mountain railways and cableways: Corviglia/Piz Nair, Corvatsch/Furtschellas, Diavolezza and Muottas Muragl/Alp Languard. These all offer thrilling high-altitude trails with spectacular views.

Stand Up Paddling
Workout for the whole body and all ages
Stand Up Paddling (SUP) is very similar to surfing, but the boarders stand on their boards and use a paddle to impel themselves through the water. The new trend sport is simple to do, relaxes, keeps you fit and is so much fun! SUP is suitable for all ages, therefore also ideal as a family sport. Due to the wind conditions in the Engadine, the SUP is best suited in the morning.
In cooperation with the Surfcenter Silvaplana you have the possibility to get to know this trendy sport either alone or together with a guide. The board & paddle can be rented for CHF 25 per hour. A guided SUP tour (excl. rental) is available for CHF 70 per hour.
Registration at the reception or in the staziun da basa until 5 p.m. the evening before.

Golfing pleasure at undreamed-of heights!
It was the English who started it all: at the end of the 18th century, English tourists asked for an area of mountain pasture at 1,860 m to be mowed to create a fairway – and thus the first golf course was born. Nowadays, the Engadin Golf Club has over 1,200 members and is one of the largest in Switzerland. And the Engadin golf courses are the most attractive for miles around. Within an area of 30 kilometres, there are four completely different courses to choose from.
